I like the fact that my GolfBuddy is pre-loaded with all the courses that I play on. It’s simple, I can just turn it on, and I’m ready to play.

GolfBuddy was very accurate with its yardages. A couple of times, when I was testing it out, I stood next to a yardage marker on the course and it gave me the exact yardage.

A few days ago, I was driving along the cart path with my GolfBuddy on the seat. I ran over a bump, and my GolfBuddy flipped out of my golf cart, hit the cart path, and went into a puddle. I picked it up and checked to make sure it was alright, and to my surprise, there was no problem. My last GPS fell out of the golf cart, hit the grass first before it rolled onto the cart path and it never worked again.

Everything in the GolfBuddy is so much easier to use, there’s no thinking involved in it. You just turn it on, and you’ve got exact distances. I now know exactly how far I hit every club and even though you may have markers on the fairway, if you’re 5 or 6 yards off, it’s a big difference, and I found my GolfBuddy to be very very precise.

With the GolfBuddy having so many courses pre-loaded into it, it saves me a lot of time and hastle from having to download the courses myself. Living where I live, in the desert, there are a lot of courses that don’t have GPS units on the golf carts so it’s great that I can always have the correct yardages when I need it.

The fact that the GolfBuddy can hold 20,000 courses, and comes with courses pre-loaded makes it so much easier to use because I don’t have to go online and download courses as I need them, they’re pretty much on there. I have a harder time finding a course that’s not on there than finding one that is.

Where I play, a lot of my friends have GPS units that don’t work and they complain about them all the time because they get poor satellite signals. So having one that worked great all the time was pretty remarkable. I also really like the automatic course recognition feature. The minute I turned it on, it new exactly where I was.

A lot of times I forget to charge my GolfBuddy because sometimes I just leave it in the bag. What’s great about it is that if I forget to charge my unit, I can just remove the rechargeable battery, pop in two AAA’s and I’m good to go.

I’m a research kind of person. I don’t buy anything until I look into all the features and compare them. The GolfBuddy has been fabulous. It’s stood up to every complaint I had about the other GPS units. One of the biggest features that I like is being able to put in my own custom targets because the person who maps the course may have a different idea of the measurements that you need.

I play in tournaments all around the country, and with the GolfBuddy I don’t have to have a computer with me to download the courses because they’re already in the unit. So I can just go to any course on the spur of the moment and just have every course accessible.

I really like the GolfBuddy because it holds 20,000 courses. I used to have a GPS that could only hold 10 and I’d spend a lot of time logging on to the internet adding and deleting courses because the course I was planning to play the next day never seemed to be in the memory. I also like the fact that I’m no longer paying any annual fees with my GolfBuddy. With my last GPS I was having to pay $49.99 every year to continue to use the same courses.
